🚁 Arrowtown and Helicopter Ride

Located less than 30 minutes from Queenstown is Arrowtown which is charming and quirky, a delightful gold rush village nestled beside the sparkling Arrow River and below magnificent peaks.

We arrived there around 11am. Once again, our plans for an early start was ineffective and unsuccessful. We spent an hour walking through the town enjoying its charm and beauty. One can certainly do a whole lot more. Yesterday was a long day and as such, we took it easy today. My highlight was the lamb and mint pie from the Arrowtown Bakery. I also found Rifters Gin tasting house and boy oh boy, it was a treat. Being a huge Gin fan, I was in a place of pure bliss. We bought a small bottle to enjoy later tonight and returned to our AirBNB.

For the first time in my lifetime, I travelled in a helicopter 🚁 and it was a fanfreaking tactic experience. Our pilot took us to the top of a mountain and we got off to play in the snow. My wife and son loved it and the joy in my son’s eyes was priceless.Start of the journey:Landed on the top of the mountain:View from the top of the world: It was not cheap but I highly recommend it.

In my golden years, these are the memories that will make me smile. So, I intend to create as many memories as possible.
