💻 Baby steps towards Linux

Today, enough was enough. I had the urge to give Linux a go. Perhaps its the tech enthusiast in me that forced the hand.

In any case, I acquired a used Windows laptop today in the hope of installing Linux on it and give it a go. At this point, I seem to have the urge to have a Linux operating system device in my home. Honestly, this would be a second linux device because as far as I know, my Umbrel home server is based on Linux too.

I paid less than AUD700 and hoping it arrives by end of next week.

I am excited. A small part of me is ready to be disappointed (that's the sane part), the other is like a kid on Christmas day.. eagerly awaiting Santa to bring him toys.
