💻 Cool Utility App: Passepartout
🍎 appleSince January 2020, I have used Passepartout as my VPN on iOS
and on iPadOS. Recently I also purchased the Apple TV add-on.
This is a useful app. There are multiple VPN providers I use and it's not practical to have all of them installed on my device. I rather not have all of them installed on my device.
Passepartout allows me to have many VPN providers at my disposal through one app. Thanks to iCloud sync, any VPN provider set up on one device syncs with all other devices, including the Apple TV. There is a native Mac app but I have never used it so cannot comment on how great it is. However, based on my experience on the other Apple platforms, I am confident it's a great experience on the Mac as well.
The following VPN providers are supported:

- NordVPN
- Oeck
- PIA
- ProtonVPN
- SurfShark
- TorGuard
- TunnelBear
- VyprVPN
- Windscribe
Despite the long list, I have only used ProtonVPN (paid account), TunnelBear (free account) and Windscribe (lifetime account). It works well enough that I do not find the need to install the VPN provider's first party app.
Importantly, Passepartout is a one time purchase 🎉. If you use multiple
VPN providers, I highly recommend this app.
