When I migrated to Australia (over 20 years ago), I was lonely, depressed and overall missing my friends from my home country. I didn't know anyone in Melbourne, had no one to talk to and no one talked to me. As a teenage, it was my uncle here who spent time with me.
One thing my uncle enjoyed was listening to Derryn Hinch on talkback radio, 3AW. He hosted the afternoon slot from 4pm to 6pm. Along with him, I also started listing to Derryn and I found him entertaining, informative and passionate about things he believed. He even went to jail for what he thought was right.

his blog post was to thank him for giving me a joy back in my early days in Australia. Listening to the radio was like someone is talking to you about an engaging subject and also gaining the views of other Victorians who called in.
