😸 My thoughts on Happiness

🛟 life

The concept of happiness is really fascinating and surprisingly achievable.

In today’s society, it appears that happiness is a top bar because most people are seeking outside validation.

This is the significant change compared to the life our great grandparents lived. The society’s measure of success and therefore happiness is based on material accomplishments and material things one owns.

Yes, buying things gives you a little joy and some things is necessary to buy but long-term happiness cannot possibly come from some gadget you bought today.

My son is almost 3 and small things like hugging him or just asking him to help me makes him happy. As we grow older, we just expect and want more. Focusing on the little things that bring joy and fulfillment is more important.

I hope this blog post reminds the future me of my current thoughts on happiness and to avoid seeking outside validation.. simply put... because, I, as a mere civilian, do not need validation from outsiders. I do not need outside validation…I just DO NOT NEED IT.
