🤔 I can't stop thinking about the iPhone Mini
🍎 apple
I recently bought
and returned the iPhone 13 Mini (why).
My thoughts when I returned the iPhone 13 Mini:
I carry two phones, an android (pixel fold) and an iPhone Pro Max. In the future, when the Pixel Fold has great battery life and a great camera, I may no longer need a Pro iPhone and at that point, I would seek a smaller form factor iPhone.
All of the above remains true. However, what is also true is that
I still want a small phone in my life, despite not
having a practical reason to own one just yet.
The iPhone 13
mini will not replace my iPhone Pro Max because it will be comparatively
have terrible battery life (although, the Pro Max isn't great either)
and the camera will not be as good. Both (battery life and camera) are
pretty important to me and these are the only two reasons I opt for the
Pro Max instead of the regular Pro every year. I need neither of those
features when I am working from home (which is 3-4 days in a week). This
is where the iPhone 13 Mini can slot in. Having said that, I also do not
need the Pixel Fold during this time so it can be my only device which
will improve (hopefully 🤞) my focus. I get distracted pretty easily.
It's been two weeks since I shipped the faulty iPhone mini and I am still thinking about it.
Perhaps, I should just buy it and attempt to enjoy the small form factor while I still can. It's pretty clear phone manufacturers are only interested in bigger phones and with time, it will only get difficult to buy an iPhone Mini (or any small phone) in decent condition.
Irrationally, I asked Google to flip a coin for me. Heads to buy it and tails for not buying it. Each consecutive flip was a TAILS. I did this three times. On each occasion, I wanted it to be HEADS 🪙.
I am torn.
